Congratulations to all in a busy Summer this far!

Our 30th Anniversary "Dance Nation" Rocked!
Nationals were Awesome!
The Showstopper Banquet Fiesta was Muy Grande!
And our Miss Amy got hitched!
Whew!

Congratulations to Brookelyn Mendoza!

Brookelyn just finished a competition and took a fourth place finish in her Jazz solo among a field of 16 competitors. Being her first year in competitive solos, Brookelyn is on track and taking big strides on her way to the top of the competitive jazz field.

As a third year dancer and two year showstopper she has found a fan base in her “I’m the Greatest Star” Jazz solo. The routine recently earned her a Kids Artistic Review “All Star: Kids” invitation to train with The World Famous Rockettes in New York City.

She may appear to you as a familiar face as she has done some recent print work, most notably her picture on the box of the best selling “UNO Spin” game!

Her success is on track with a pattern in her family. Her brother, Dakota, has taken overall top ten finishes in all competitions this year, including a first place with his team’s break out dance routine titled “So Hood”.

Her dad, also scored platinum points with a hip hop routine titled “Joy and Pain,” though he says it’s mostly back pain, shoulder pain…!

Congratulations to Showstoppers Sara Llanos and Taylor Bourne for being selected for the 2008 Los Angeles "Sparkids" Dance Team.

Sara and Taylor were selected from over 150 very talented kids ages 8-13 that competed over two days at the legendary Debbie Reynolds's Dance Studio in Hollywood, CA. for one of only 12 spots on the team. The Sparkids are the official dance team of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks Basketball Team. They will perform and interact with fans at all Staple Center home games as well as media events all over the Sothern California area.

Sara and Taylor are following in the footsteps of showstopper teammates Lia Bourne, Alexis Romero, Holly Stephens, Carissa Martin & RaShelle Mata who are all former Sparkids.

Congratulations Sara and Taylor and have a great season.......Go Sparks!!!!!

Tawny Cohen is new to The Talent Factory Showstopper Team this year!

She has been competing since she was 8 with various top competing studios on Southern California.  She is also on her Varsity Traveling Dance Team for Etiwanda High School.

This year, they recently went to Oahu for a week and the performed at Waikiki and at Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Tawny had numerous people who were impressed by her dance choreography she did for one of the numbers.  She would like to continue dancing and major in Dance and Theater at CSUF.

Welcome, Tawny

Showstopper Brooke Wendel is Junior Performer of the Weekend at Dance Magic!

Since dancing her way in the Top 10 at Vegas Starpower Nationals last  summer, Brooke certainly hasn't slowed down!  She was 1st Overall at  American Dance Awards and Petite Miss Starpower in Upland this March!

Talent Factory hit Anaheim for Dance Magic workshop and  competition... Brooke showcased what she has and earned her the prestigious title of "Performer Of The Weekend" along with a year-long
Scholarship, too!  To top that off, she just competed at "Hall Of Fame" where her jazz solo "Le Jazz Hot" earned her 3RD OVERALL out of  about 100 soloists!  Wow!

Hey, let's not leave her sister out,  Megan!  Her trio "Car Wash" was top Mini duo-trio at Dance Magic and
earned a Platinum, 1st Place at "Hall of Fame" !  Way to go, Wendels!

(Hey, their dad, Brian was also Platinum winner in the dad's dance!   We loved your leap in 2nd!)

Congratulations for Melanie as she was hand-picked to be one of Dance Magic's
"Magic Company" for the upcoming season!

This year has been the "icing on the cake" for Miss Melanie!

She has completed her season as a member of the Dance Magic "Magic  Performers", traveling all over the country!  She has been working so hard and taking every opportunity she can.

Melanie was also one of  the few accepted into the summer intensive for the "Rockettes" in New York City!  She will travel right after her senior Talent Factory recital and embark on a week-long experience of class and performances!

She has also had the experience of teaching Hip-Hop with her teammate, RaShelle Mata, for the studio's "Dance Club" team!

Congratulations to Shelby Bassett!

At the "Hall Of Fame" Dance Competition April 18-20, 2008, she was 5TH OVERALL in the 8 & under division - that is great in any event, but this regional was abnormally large!

With about 100 mini soloists, she was Top 10 material with her musical theater solo "Don't Rain On My Parade".

She is 8 years old and a part of the Showstopper Competition Team - but talent runs in her family - her dad, Steve, is a two-time Platinum Award winner this season, too!! He is in the dad's dance "Joy & Pain".

WAY TO GO, TEAM BASSETT
